Description

Supports the self-service Appointment check-in process for Patients.

Outcomes

For a Patient:

Enables the Patient to check in for their Appointment without the need to speak to a Health or Care Professional.

For Health or Care Organisations:

Enables Health or Care Organisations to optimise staff capacity by reducing the need for manual Patient check in.

As a Patient

I want to use self-service to check in for my Appointment

So that I can check in for my Appointment without contacting a Health or Care Professional

Acceptance criterion 1: Patient checks in for an Appointment using self-service

Given the Patient self-service check-in for Appointments is enabled

When the Patient selects to check in for an Appointment

And the Patient is matched to an Appointment

Then the Patient is recorded as checked in

And the Patient is notified they have checked in

Acceptance criterion 2: Patient is not matched to an Appointment at self-service

Given the Patient self-service check-in for Appointments is enabled

When the Patient selects to check in for an Appointment

And the Patient is not matched to an Appointment

Then the Patient is not recorded as checked in

And the Patient is notified they have not checked in

Given the Patient has been assigned a pseudonym
