Background
The GP Practice Solution Suppliers currently assign one of 20 Care Connect SDS-Job Roles to each of the appointment slots it makes available via GP Connect Appointment Management API. The Job Roles have been expanded to include 392 Care Connect SDS-Job Roles to account for the variety of roles in a Health or Care Organisation.
Outline Plan
Suppliers will implement the new Care Connect SDS-Job Role Name, which identifies to the Supplier the SDS-Job Role which is associated with the Health or Care Professional on their smart card.
The Supplier will carry out testing and provide evidence to the GP Connect Team the new Care Connect SDS-Job Role Names are returning.
A devMAC will be issued by the GP Connect Team. A devMAC is a certificate provided by the GP Connect Team to the Supplier to confirm the correct change has been completed and can be rolled out to all their sites across the entire NHS England estate.

Assurance Approach
The Supplier will provide video or screenshot evidence to the GP Connect Team for review and approval. The evidence must include a Practitioner Role being set up in the Solution and then selected for an appointment. If a Role Mapping document is created, this can also be submitted for review and approval.
