Appointments Management - GP: E00184 removed

E00184 - GP Data for Planning and Research

As a Health or Care Professional

I want to submit GP Data for Planning and Research data to the Authority

So that information can be submitted to the Authority to enable planning and research

Acceptance criterion 1: create GP Data for Planning and Research data for submission

Given there is GP Data to be submitted by the Solution

When the creation of the GP Data for Planning and Research data file is triggered

Then the GP Data for Planning and Research data file is created

E00184 - Additional Implementation Details

Solutions MUST comply with the following when implementing this Epic:

  • GP Data for Planning and Research Standard

Appointments Management - GP: E00222 updated

E00222 - record National Slot Type Category for Appointment Slots

As a Health or Care Professional

I want to record the National Slot Type Category for Appointment Slots

So that Appointments and Appointment Slots are categorised using nationally defined categories

Acceptance criterion 1: record National Slot Type Category for Appointment Slots

Given the Health or Care Professional is permitted to manage Appointment Slots within a Session

When the Health or Care Professional selects to record the National Slot Type Category for an Appointment Slot

Then the National Slot Type Category is recorded

E00222 - Additional Implementation Details

Solutions MUST comply with the following when implementing this Epic:

  • Suppliers to import the National Slot Type Category file - An example of the the Authority National Slot Type Category file to be imported can be found here: xml file and csv file

  • Supplier will deploy additional National Slot Type Categories published by the Authority within 30 working days

If the recording of National Slot Type Categories for Appointment Slots is achieved through the mapping of local Slot Types (e.g. Supplier defined or user configurable) to a National Slot Type Category, Suppliers MUST also comply with the following when implementing this Epic:

  • Provide the ability for users to define mappings between local Slot Types and a National Slot Type Category

  • Display the following information to users to assist with mapping activities:

    • Service Setting

    • Context Type

    • Category

    • Description

  • Mapping is to be mandatory for all local Slots Types

  • Suppliers to provide the ability for users to identify existing mappings for local Slot Types and those that are currently unmapped (e.g. via a mappings screen or reporting features)

  • Any National Slot Type Categories with an End Date that has passed are not to visible to the user

  • Where local Slot Types are mapped to a National Slot Type Category with an End Date that has passed, Suppliers to record mapping as ‘Not Set'

  • Supplier to be able to set local Slot Type to National Slot Type Category mappings in bulk for Practices - these bulk mappings will be provided by the Authority via a CSV file, an example can be found here

E00222 - Supporting Information

  • National Slot Type Categories are extracted as part of the data required to meet the following Standards:

    • General Practice Appointments Data Reporting

    • GP Data for Planning and Research

Patient Information Maintenance - GP: E00184 removed

Dependencies

GP Data for Planning and Research

  • Messaging Exchange for Social Care and Health (MESH) - May alternatively use AWS Direct S3-S3 transfers as the secure transport mechanism

  • De-identification is performed via an NHS Digital supplied de-identification toolkit. This process yields ‘transit pseudonyms’ which render the de-identified fields suitable for transmission across the organisational boundary between source system and NHS Digital landing platform. The transit pseudonym provides an encrypted wrapper which ensures the de-identified field is not persisted or processed as clear text within the data store.

To maintain security further information about Privitar and de-identification will be provided on request, although an overview can be found in the interface specification.

GP Data for Planning and Research (GPDfPR)

The purpose of GP Data for Planning and Research (GPDfPR) is to support the data needs of the health and social care system including policy development, public health, planning and commissioning of services and research. This new collection is designed to reduce the number of requests for access to data received by General Practice.

Digital Services for Integrated Care (DSIC) Service Providers will be onboarded via a Tailored Assurance Approach. The approach will detail the technical and clinical assurance activities to be carried out by NHS Digital alongside the service provider.

Solution Assurance key contact for Digital Services for Integrated Care (DSIC) is via the SA Compliance mailbox functional.assurance@nhs.net
