Background

The Productivity Capability is to be deprecated, three new Capabilities have been created to support those Solutions that previously mapped to this Capability and to further enhance the Capabilities & Standards model. The three new Capabilities are:

  • Digital Dictation - enables Health and Care Professionals to convert speech to unstructured text

  • Medical Reports - enables Health and Care Professionals to create, view and share Medical Reports for Patients

  • Self-service Appointment Check-in - enables Patient/Service Users to check in for Appointments without the need to speak to reception staff

In addition, new MAY Epics will be added to the Appointments Management - GP, Care Plans, Communication Management, Consultations Management and Task Management Capabilities to cover functionality provided by other related Productivity requirements that did not warrant the creation of new Capabilities.

Outline Plan

The Productivity Capability will be retired at a later date at which point any references or links will be removed from the Capabilities & Standards model.

Digital Dictation is a method of converting speech to unstructured text using digital technology. It can be used to record converted speech to a Patient/Service User’s record.

Medical Reports

A Medical Report is a summary of a Patients medical history created using data from the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) for the purpose of sharing with a 3rd party.
