Background

As part of the Digital Pathways review and refresh, the Video Consultation Capability has been reviewed and updated to support the new Digital Pathways Supplier Registry.

The Video Consultation Capability is also applicable to the expired DFOCVC Framework, and this Roadmap Item is to support those Suppliers.

The changes include the introduction and removal of MAY Epics, the introduction of integration recommendations, as well as general improvements throughout the Capability.

The general improvements include terminology and grammatical changes.

Supplier Solutions must be fully compliant with this specification by the Effective Date.

Acceptance criterion 1: select Direct Messages from a Video Consultation to be saved to the Patient’s Electronic Patient Record (EPR)

Given the Health or Care Professional is permitted to save Direct Messages from a Video Consultation to a Patient’s Electronic Patient Record (EPR)

When the Health or Care Professional selects to save the Direct Messages from a Video Consultation to the Patient’s Electronic Patient Record (EPR)

Then the Health or Care Professional is able to select the Direct Messages from a Video Consultation to be saved to the Patient’s Electronic Patient Record (EPR)

Assurance Approach

  • MAY Epics describe additional functionality and these can be selected by Suppliers, but are not mandatory. If selected, Suppliers will be assessed against this Epic as per the Capability Assessment process and this will be a high level assessment based on the Acceptance Criteria defined.

  • If selected, Suppliers will be asked to demonstrate their mitigations against the pre-identified risks through completion of the NHS England Solution Assurance Capability Risk Log submission.
