Background
The DSCR Interoperability Standard was originally published in January 2023. It is now being uplifted to reflect changes made across Digital Services for Integrated Care domains, to amend the Interoperability Principles.
Outline Plan
Digital Social Care Record DPS assured Solutions will not be impacted by this uplift, this is amendment of the Interoperability Principles only. This version of the standard will become effective on publication.

There is no requirement changes to the specification for the Interoperability Standard, this uplift is to amend the Interoperability Principles only.
The revised Interoperability Standard will replace the existing principles with:
Suppliers are expected to adhere to the interoperability principles wherever possible. Whilst adherence will not be assessed in Onboarding, the Authority will expect any deviation from these principles to be supported by a valid rationale on delivery of interfaces.

Assurance Approach
The assurance approach remains as is for DSCR solution suppliers required to comply with this standard. Assurance can be accessed via the DSCR Capability Assessment and Standards Assurance Process.
