As a 999 call handler or ambulance clinician,

I want the system to support booking appointments with General Practitioners (GPs) during their allocated in-hours slots

So that I can efficiently refer patients for non-emergency medical care.

Acceptance criterion 1:

Given that a 999 call handler or ambulance clinician is permitted to book appointments,

When booking an in-hours GP slot,

Then, the system should display the available appointment slots of GPs during their in-hours schedule.

And the system should enable the selection of a suitable appointment slot for the patient and book it through the system.

And the system should send a confirmation of the booked appointment to both the patient and the GP.

Then the system should allow an appointment to be scheduled without any errors or restrictions, ensuring efficient referral of patients for non-emergency medical care outside regular working hours.

Then the system should allow the choice of a specific GP and allocate the patient to an available appointment slot with that GP, ensuring that the appointment time aligns with the GP's out-of-hours availability.

Then the system should display real-time and up-to-date information on GP appointment slots, indicating the available times and any changes in availability, enabling me to make timely and informed patient referrals.

Then the system should provide a comprehensive and searchable record of all GP appointments and referrals made through the system, including relevant details such as dates, patient information, and outcomes, allowing the service's usage and effectiveness to be monitored and analysed.
