Summary

Introduction of DCB3066. The Digital Maternity Records and Interoperability Project is enabling interoperable electronic maternity records across providers (including GP practices) in England.

The Maternity Records Standard will introduce the first wave of change via an ISN. This standard will define the structure and coding of electronic maternity records held by clinical system providers and will leverage the generic capabilities provided by the National Records Locator Service.

The ISN will be published on 5th September 2019, implementation periods are to be confirmed, however, expected to be a minimum of 12 months.
