Description

Supports secure and trusted electronic communications between Citizens and the Practice. Integrates with Patient Information Maintenance.


Outcomes

For a Citizen: Accessing support and being able to communicate with their Practice remotely in a manner that suits their lifestyle, and health and care needs.

For General Practice: Provision of flexible tools that support remote communications with a Citizen. This will allow for efficient access to Practice team members, supporting Patient care and safety, protecting Patient confidentiality, and maintaining positive relationships.


Epics and Acceptance Criteria

Must Epics

These Epics and Acceptance Criteria will be evaluated during the Capability Assessment Stage of On-boarding.

Epic 1 - manage communications - Patient

As a Patient

I want to communicate with a Practice remotely

So that I can access support without attending the practice

Acceptance criterion 1: create communications

Given the Patient is logged into Citizen Services

When they choose to create a communication to the Practice

Then a disclaimer is shown to advise that this communication is suitable for certain situations

And a communication to the Practice is created

Acceptance criterion 2: view communications received

Given the Patient is logged into Citizen Services

And they have been informed that a communication has been received

When they choose to view communications

Then the communications are displayed

Acceptance criterion 3: view communications sent

Given the Patient is logged into Citizen Services

When they choose to view communications

Then they can view the communications sent

Acceptance criteria 4: respond to communications

Given the Patient is logged into Citizen Services

When they have received communications

Then they can create a reply

And a disclaimer will be displayed advised that this communication is suitable for certain situations

These Epics will be not be evaluated during the Capability Assessment Stage of On-boarding. They are included to help suppliers and buyers understand possible wider usage of the Capability.

As a Proxy

I want to communicate with a Practice remotely

And a communication to the Practice is created
