Can support the booking and referral into GP allocated appointment slots (both in hours and out of hours) via Ambulance Service (if not conveyed)' to other services where slots are available.

Appointment Booking and Referral Management
The system must be able to manage and coordinate patient appointments, schedule appointments, manage calendars, and ensure appointments are booked efficiently and accurately.
This function also involves managing referrals from one GP Service to another. It includes tracking and coordinating referrals, processing them promptly, and communicating with the referring and receiving parties.

As a 999 call handler or ambulance clinician, I want the system to support booking appointments with General Practitioners (GPs) during their allocated in-hours slots So that I can efficiently refer patients for non-emergency medical care. Acceptance criterion 1:Given that a 999 call handler or ambulance clinician is permitted to book appointments, When booking an in-hours GP slot, Then, the system should display the available appointment slots of GPs during their in-hours schedule. And the system should enable the selection of a suitable appointment slot for the patient and book it through the system. And the system should send a confirmation of the booked appointment to both the patient and the GP. |
