MH-09 Alerts relevant to MHA

In relation to the proper enactment of the MHA

  • Alerting functionality that ensure relevant parties are made aware of relevant deadlines, defaults on care provision, or change in status

  • External alerting functionality that ensure relevant parties are made aware of relevant deadlines, defaults on care provision, change in status.

  • External would include stakeholders such as patient advocacy services (IMCA / IMHA)

Description

One of the key benefits of digital systems is the ability to automate parts of patient care, this can be as straightforward as sending alerts to the relevant parties when certain conditions are met.

As a Mental Health Professional,

I want to receive alerts and prompts when deadlines are approaching or are past due, care provision defaults or changes in patient status,

So that the correct care can be provided to patients at the right time,

Acceptance criteria 1:

Given the system is configured correctly,

When Mental Health Act deadlines are approaching or are past due,

And when care provisions default,

And when there is a change in patient status,

Then the system should send alerts to professionals within the organisation.

The ability of the system to generate an alert when a task has not been completed within a configurable timeframe

The ability to configure alerts based on custom parameters to ensure alerts can be tailored to clinical need for a range of scenarios
