Background

An uplift to the Consultation Management - Community Pharmacy Capability to include Clinical Protocols and Clinical Pathways in Epic E00637 along with Patient Group Directions (PGDs) so a Health or Care Professional has access to all the available information when conducting Consultations. This will enable the management of common conditions by Community Pharmacy supplying certain Over The Counter and Prescription Only Medicines.

Solutions MUST comply with the following when implementing this Epic:

  • The Patient Group Directions (PGDs) listed on the NHS web pages for the following services are to be launched:

    • Pharmacy First Clinical Pathways

    • Pharmacy Contraception

  • For Pharmacy First Clinical Pathways Consultations, the Patient Group Directions (PGDs), Clinical Protocols and Clinical Pathways listed on NHS Pharmacy First are to be launched

  • For Pharmacy Contraception Consultations, the Patient Group Directions (PGDs) listed on NHS Pharmacy Contraception Service are to be launched
